[The Astrolabe]
Spell Level(s): Cleric 5, Favored Soul 5, Sorcerer 5, Spellsword 5, Warlock 5, Wizard 5
Innate Level: 5
School: Necromancy
Descriptor(s): Negative
Component(s): Verbal, Somatic
Range: Long (40 meters)
Area of Effect / Target: Single
Duration: Instantaneous
Additional Counter Spells: None
Save(s): Fortitude
Spell Resistance: Yes

Description: The caster sends ribbons of Negative energy at a single target, striking them with 1d8 damage per 3 caster levels, fortitude save for half and an additional effect. If the target fails the fortitude save, they also lose 1 point of Strength per 4 Caster Levels. Strength bonuses from spells of similar types (such as Negative Energy Burst) will not stack when granted to an undead creature. If a target is killed by this spell, it rises as an uncontrolled zombie. This spell has a reverse effect on undead, healing them instead of harming them.
