==Staters==
By placing gold into Gem Scales, gold can be converted into Staters. The Staters can then be replaced back into the gem scales to convert back into gold. Gem Scales can be found in most major settlements.
The conversion rate:
1. Multiply gold value by 0.9.
75,000 * 0.9 = 67,500.
2. While this value is >100, add 1 stater per 100 gold. (note that it's > not >=)
(67500 - 100) / 100 = 674 staters
3. Take the original gold value minus the staters * 111.
75,000 - (674 * 111) = 75,000 - 74,814 = 186 gold

Banks store money and items for characters. They are found all over Arelith in most any reasonably civilized place. Banks are a good place to store your money in case you die. When withdrawing or depositing money you can specify an amount to transfer from the bank to your pocket, or vice versa, or you can simply type 'all' or nothing at all, as long as the last thing you said wasn't a number, to transfer all your gold.

Many settlements also offer storage of up to 12 items for citizens. For settlements with multiple banks, the main branch of the bank usually has the storage containers. Any items over the limit will be left behind in the box for other characters to claim.

Other Bank services include: transfer of gold to another character's account, managing faction bank accounts to which you have access, or take a loan of up to 1000 gold pieces, resulting in negative balance of -1000. This is specially useful for new characters.

Banks have a hard 10.000.000 (10 mil) GP capacity. If you want to store more, you can use the Factional bank.

Bank Locations

Banks can be found in most major settlements such as Cordor, Brogendenstein, Andunor.

Different special locations also provide bank services, including certain quarters.
