The purpose of Rituals can be anything such as granting a boon or affecting an area,a Ritual can be started by a player granted they meet the requirement for the ritual and they come in different categories such as Divine or Arcane. They are kept vague on purpose as players will have to find in-game ways of figuring out a specific ritual and how it works.

There are a number of factors that come in play for a Ritual like: Classes, Skills, Feats, Deities, Languages, Items, Locations, etc. The list is long and each ritual also has its own black boxed mechanics.

Rituals usually results in different strengths (if successful) that will grant something based on that. Could be a specific item is required for a ritual to increase its strength and so on.

All interaction with the ritual are done via the-ritual command. Once used, a menu will appear to either see the current available rituals the character can start or the option to find and join nearby rituals.

The menu will display any ritual your character can start and if one is selected, the menu will provide additional information that help the ritual success chance. If you have enough class levels but the menu is not displaying a ritual, your character is missing at least one factor to start it.

Starting a ritual

Once the ritual name was selected, the ritual leader has to confirm the process to start the ritual, provided they have enough spell component and/or piety and any other cost the ritual has. Once a Ritual has started it goes into a Preparation Stage for a few seconds.

Joining a ritual

While the ritual is on Preparation stage, any other player can join the ritual (From the -ritual command). Once enough participants have joined a specific ritual, or enough time has passed, it will start and can last for a long time before its finished.

Ritual Progress

During a Ritual's progress a number of things can happen, but the end goal is to create a successful ritual which in turn based on the ritual's own mechanics as well as the more generic things related to the system itself, will calculate that specific ritual's success ratio. Which means even if you have a 100% successful Ritual you may not gain all the benefits from it as some things are hidden mechanics for that specific ritual.

Once the ritual is complete, a confirmation if it was a success or failed will be provided.

Note:This page will only provide names and class levels required for them, the other factors will stay FOIG, as well as their effects.
