Note that disabled skills and feats are disabled only for PCs. Some NPCs that characters encounter on Arelith can still have them.

Skill changes

Disabled skills:

  • Riding

Appraise affects nothing when on items. Only base Appraise and INT modifications (including Fox's Cunning) do so. Comparing to default NWN version, its roll for each merchant "resets" also on restart of server. Appraise effects prices and highest maximum payout for an item that each merchant is willing to pay (within limits).

Bluff is used for disguise.

Craft Armour, Craft Weapon

  • custom Arelith crafting system is used for creation of items instead of these skills
  • mirrors are used for modification of equipment appearance instead of these skills

Intimidate capabilities of PCs is revealed by look command. Other characters can roleplay according to it.

Lore is used for understanding of languages

Perform is used for disguise.

Persuade capabilities of PCs is revealed by look command. Other characters can roleplay according to it. It has no other mechanical use on Arelith at this moment.

"There's a few merchants on Arelith that require a successful persuasion check before they allow you to see their inventory. They're hardly common though..." msterswrdsmn

Pickpocketing is explained in separate article about pickpocketing.

Spot in addition to standard detection of Hide and pickpocketing attempts, it is used for *looks* and recognition of disguised characters.

Feat changes

  • Devastating critical
  • Summon mount

Mithreas on "Why is Devastating Critical banned?":

"Because in the judgement of the Dev Team it's unbalanced.
This isn't a suitable topic for a discussion, so I'm not going to give a detailed justification. You may not agree with the decision, but it's not going to change."
