Note: The PC Dragon race is no longer available!
Dragons are inherently magical creatures with the ability to shapeshift. On Arelith, a player may choose to play a Dragon that has taken the form of a humanoid.
Appearance
In their Humanoid form, Dragons appear no different from the mortals that they mimic. As their humanoid form is chosen voluntarily, they may appear as having idealized features, and the wisdom, intelligence, and confidence afforded by their great age may make them stand out.
Creating a Dragon on Arelith
- Bonus Language: Draconic
- Counts as a reptilian race for piety gain calculation.
Character Adjustments
PC Dragons may transform into Dragon shape by using the -polymorph console command.
Note that the Dragon appearance is a superficial change, not a polymorph, and does not provide the benefits of the Dragon Shape Epic Feat.
Dragons will continue to leave Dragon tracks even in their non-Dragon form.
When in Dragon form, Dragon PCs will be treated as a monster race, and receive a warning when approaching a settlement.
The following bonuses can be applied by selecting the Gift of Subrace at character creation:
- +2 Str
- +2 Con
- +2 Cha
- Spell resistance: 11+Level (Capped at 32)
- 20/- cold resistance
- True Seeing
- Armor Skin epic feat
- Dragon Skin PrC feat
- +4 ECL
Note - the dragon is Silver by default. If you would like to play a different colour, contact Mithreas and to change your appearance and resistance to match your desired color.
As a Dragon increases in level, he or she will benefit from increased physical statistics while in Dragon form. The Dragon form also increases in size with level, beginning slightly larger than a human, and growing to be larger than a typical house.
