For information about in game bannishments from settlements see article about citizenship system.

Bans allow the staff to disable the possibility of logging on server for a player. This final punishment is usually reserved for repeated or serious breaking of rules. Ban can be tied either to the CD key, IP address or range of IP addresses.

Recognizing ban

What happens when CD keys are banned: Player will be still able to connect to gamespy and the multiplayer tab. They can even enter the server and make a character, but the moment player hits the "enter" or "play", they will be booted.

Please, note that the same will happen when database is down and servers don't accept any players. If there are no other players on the server then the problem is likely in something else then a ban.

Lifting ban
