Backgrounds are quirky additions that can be made to your character at character creation, to reflect where they came from. You may select up to one background which will provide both a small bonus and a small penalty to your character. Players are encouraged to roleplay any background that they chose, they are not intended as purely mechanical quirks. Certain backgrounds require slightly different starting statistics to access, as is appropriate to each character.

Backgrounds may not be altered or re-chosen after character creation. Be sure before you pick!
