Rakshasas are Outsiders capable of taking any humanoid form. A Rakshasa's true form is that of a powerfully built Human with the head of an animal, however, on Arelith, a Rakshasa's true form cannot be revealed.
Creating a Rakshasa on Arelith
Note: The Rakshasa race may only be selected by spending a Major Award!
Character Adjustments
Rakshasas may take the form of any playable humanoid race by using their innate ability and the -polymorph console command.
Note that this is a superficial appearance change, and does not provide the benefits of the race that the Rakshasa is imitating.
The following bonuses can be applied by selecting the Gift of Subrace at character creation:
- +2 Dex
- +2 Cha
- SR 32
- 5/+2 DR
- +8 Bluff
- Skill Affinity: Listen
- Skill Affinity: Spot
- +5 ECL

Race Selection
Upon Character Creation, all characters receive an undroppable item labeled "Innate Ability". Selecting the Rakshasa race will add an unlimited use special ability to this item.
Using the Innate Ability item will open a dialog through which an alternate race can be selected.
Note: Head models are fixed and automatically chosen based on the character's original head. (i.e. A character with Human head model 1 will have Dwarf head model 1 when polymorphed into a Dwarf.)
As some races have fewer head models than others, male characters may wish to choose from the first 13 heads, and female characters from the first 9 heads, in order to have avoid having no head model when polymorphed.
Polymorphing
Once an appearance is created, the -polymorph console command can be used to change shape. The -polymorph console command can then be used again to return to the character's original shape.
The same appearance will be used every time the Rakshasa polymorphs, until it is altered.
