Toril, occasionally known in the past as Abeir-Toril is the name of the planet on which the Forgotten Realms is primarily set and of which Faerûn is the main continent. It is an Earth-like planet with certain obvious influences and similarities from the real world and fantasy fiction. Arelith is distant island on it.
